Nuri Battal, M.D.
Aesthetic Surgery Specialist
Dr. Nuri Battal was born in Istanbul in 1962. After graduating from Istanbul Kabataş High School in 1980, he entered Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in the same year and graduated in October 1986.
He started his General Surgery residency in 1987 by winning the assistantship exam opened by the Department of General Surgery of the same faculty. During his residency, he worked as a research fellow for 6 months in 1990 at the Nevada University General Surgery Clinic in the USA.
He completed his General Surgery residency in 1992 and worked for 6 months in the Hand Surgery Department of Istanbul American Hospital. In the same year, he was assigned to the I.U. Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine Emergency Surgery Department and after working here for 3 years, he went to Japan in 1995 to specialize in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by winning the MONBUSHO scholarship of the Japanese Ministry of Health and Education. He completed his residency at Kagawa Medical University Plastic Surgery Department in 3 years and returned to Turkey. He worked for 1 year at the I.U. Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department. He is currently working as a freelance plastic and aesthetic surgeon.
He is fluent in English and has intermediate French and Japanese.
