STEM CELL

Stem cells, which we can call the main cells in our body, are building blocks that perform complementary functions by replacing the cells in the missing areas when needed.
In other words, it serves as a source cell for every tissue in the body and can turn into any kind of tissue cell, that is, whether it is bone, fat, muscle, cartilage, blood, or nerve cell.
They are assigned to complete the deficiencies in the tissues damaged as the organism ages and wears out or as a result of a disease. Thanks to their ability to transform into all kinds of tissue cells, stem cells easily repair missing tissues.
Stem cells are found in all tissues and the organism uses them when needed. In modern medicine, stem cell treatments are rapidly gaining importance and developing. Studies conducted for years have shown how important these cells are and how great a potential they have in organ repair and treatment of diseases.
Where are stem cells most easily obtained from?
Stem cells are found in all tissues in our body, but we can divide stem cells into Embryonic stem cells, Fetal stem cells, Adult stem cells. All these stem cells can turn into normal cells. The cells we will talk about here will be adult-type stem cells.
Adipose tissue is the most abundant source of stem cells in our body and the easiest to obtain. Subcutaneous adipose tissue is an invaluable area as a source of stem cells. In the past, the fats taken after liposuction surgery were discarded and not used, but recent studies have shown that these fats are a serious source of stem cells.
There are an average of 500,000 stem cells in each cm3 of adipose tissue, that is, when you take 40 cm3 of adipose tissue, it is possible to obtain 20 million stem cells from it.
Stem cell therapy is rapidly taking its place in modern and future medicine. It has started to be widely used in aesthetic and cosmetic surgery all over the world. It is now finding widespread use in plastic surgery as well.
The (Autologus Adult Adipose Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells) we use here are your own natural stem cells. Without any procedure to change the character of natural stem cells, they are applied back as they are taken. Embryonic stem cells are not used here.
In some centers, a piece of tissue taken from behind the ear or another place is multiplied and applied. Those methods are the multiplication of structures called fibroblasts in the skin, not stem cells. In other words, these types of applications are “not” stem cell applications.
In this application, tissue is taken and cells are not multiplied; the patient’s own living stem cells are purified and then given back to the body, and possible risks of cell character change are prevented.
How is Stem Cell Technology Applied? (Stem Cell Technology).
Stem cells, which are our own natural cells and have no risk of reaction, easily start to live in our body where they are re-implanted and are an extremely healthy application that eliminates deficiencies.
It is an almost completely painless application. Excessive swelling and bruising are not seen as in major surgical procedures.
Under local or general anesthesia, after a certain amount of adipose tissue is taken from the abdomen, waist or hip area, which are usually the areas where patients want to get rid of, with special cannulas, they are passed through a series of procedures and stem cells are separated from fat cells and a liquid containing completely stem cells is obtained. This liquid containing millions of stem cells is injected into the area to be used according to the need.
More fat can be used to obtain more stem cells when necessary. Sometimes, when more volume is desired in the area where stem cells are applied, it can also be injected as “stem cell-rich adipose tissue” by mixing it with a certain amount of adipose tissue.
It repairs tissues by completing the missing cells in the place where it is placed, rapidly settling and living and increasing blood circulation here, and initiates a rapid healing.
Today, stem cell therapy has gone beyond being a science fiction dream and is taking its place in new and technological modern medicine.
What are the Advantages of Stem Cell Therapy?
- Since the patient’s own adipose tissue is used, there is no risk of reaction.
- At the same time, you get rid of unwanted fats. There is little risk of bleeding and pain.
- You can return to normal life in a short time.
- It does not require general anesthesia; it can also be done without anesthesia with local anesthesia.
- It does not leave any scars in the applied areas; it does not require stitches.
- It does not require dressing; there are no painful and tiring check-ups.
- The recovery period is very short.
- Its effect begins to appear in a short time.
- Since it also increases blood circulation in the applied area, the skin is rejuvenated and becomes brighter.
- It increases tissue rejuvenation by increasing new cell formation in the areas where it is placed. The results are natural.
- It does not contain foreign fillers, etc.
- Since they are the patient’s own living stem cells, they do not cause any allergic reactions and are not rejected.
