Breast reduction surgery in men is performed with current methods in the light of newly developed technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Many men are uncomfortable with their breasts being larger than normal and experience significant psychological distress. In medical terms, it is called gynecomastia, which is a condition in which male breasts grow more or excessively, causing a feminine body appearance.<\/p>\n<p>There is no difference between men and women in terms of the response of breast tissue to hormones. However, the development in breast tissue is a sign of sexual differentiation. Therefore, while the visibility of breast tissue in women is known as a sign of puberty, it is seen as a &#8220;disorder&#8221; in men. Gynecomastia (female-type breast enlargement in men) can be defined as the benign growth of breast tissue in men.<\/p>\n<h3>What causes gynecomastia?<\/h3>\n<p>Breast tissue develops under the influence of various genetically determined hormones and biological factors. Hormones, especially<sup>1<\/sup> estrogen and progesterone, control the complex biological control of breast tissue. The male hormone also prevents the effects of estrogen on breast tissue. The imbalance between the effects of these hormones on breast tissue underlies adolescent gynecomastia.<\/p>\n<p>Gynecomastia (breast enlargement in men) in childhood and adolescence may be due to various tumors, hyperthyroidism, medications, etc. However, there is no specific reason for the vast majority of adult gynecomastia. In adult men, the possibility of breast cancer should be remembered. In addition, there are some special conditions that lead to gynecomastia. These include: Hepatitis, cirrhosis, lung cancer, lung diseases, thyroid gland diseases, testicular diseases, drug use, weight gain or steroid use for muscle building, etc.<\/p>\n<h3>Surgical Treatment in Gynecomastia within the scope of Breast Aesthetics (Chest Aesthetics)<\/h3>\n<p>In adult men, treatment within the scope of <b>Breast Aesthetics (Chest Aesthetics)<\/b> is only surgical. It is a simple procedure applied as a daily surgical operation under general or local anesthesia, depending on the choice of the plastic surgeon<sup>2<\/sup> or the patient. It does not require staying in the hospital. In the surgery, after applying the fat reduction and contour correction called Liposuction (Liposuction), excessively enlarged breast tissue is removed by entering through a 1-2 cm incision made from the nipple. In some thin patients, liposuction is not applied, only breast tissue is removed. In patients in need, the skin is also collected and the excess is removed. The procedure takes about 20-60 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><b>Gynecomastia surgeries<\/b> do not require staying in the hospital. After gynecomastia, temporary bruises and pain, swelling, numbness in the surgical area are discomforts seen in almost every patient immediately after the surgery. A large part of them are immediately brought under control with medication, and some of them go away on their own over time. The patient can return to his normal life within 1-2 days. The breasts do not grow again after the surgery.<\/p>\n<p>There is no harm or side effect of removing the breast tissue with the surgery of gynecomastia disease caused by the condition of <b>hormone disorder in men<\/b>.
