BREAST AUGMENTATION WITHOUT SCARS

A beautiful breast (I will refer to it as “breast” since our patients generally prefer the word “breast”) should be proportionally sized in relation to the patient’s body, compatible with the person’s height, shoulder width, and weight.
In augmentation or reduction surgeries, all these factors are taken into consideration and evaluated. In addition to these, the patient’s professional status, socio-cultural and socio-economic status also play an important role in these evaluations.
For example, a breast done for a housewife is different from a breast that will be done for a stage performer. In the stage performer, usually, in line with the person’s wishes, a more eye-catching, attention-grabbing breast is aimed, while a different breast is designed for a housewife. All these are decided by talking with the patient.
What Method Do You Apply in Breast Augmentation?
Among the many breast augmentation surgery techniques used today, the easiest and most preferred one is the one applied by placing a silicone or non-silicone prosthesis behind the muscle and the chest, straightening and enlarging the breast.
After deciding on the breast size in proportion to the patient’s body, the type of prosthesis to be used is decided and, together with the patient, where the surgery will be performed is decided. The most commonly used places for placing the prosthesis are incisions made from the under-breast, nipple and armpit areas.
It is mostly preferred to do it by entering through a small 2 cm incision made from the inside of the crease lines in the armpit, in the sweating area, as it will not leave much scarring, there will be no visible incision on the breast, and there will be no need to cut the milk ducts and muscles. Since it is both an unseen area and because this scar will largely disappear after a few months and blend in with the crease lines, there is no scar problem.
In surgeries performed from under the breast or the nipple, the integrity of the breast can also be disrupted because the breast tissue is also cut. Surgeries performed from the armpit are performed without touching the breast tissue at all. Thanks to this technique, if the patient gives birth in the future, she can breastfeed easily. Since the prosthesis is behind the breast, it does not cause sagging either. Prostheses placed under the breast can cause the breast to sag by pulling it downwards. For this reason, it is preferred to place the prosthesis under the muscle.
